2003 Mario Marengo Barolo Brunate
A Nebbiolo Dry Red Table wine from
Brunate, La Morra, Barolo, Piedmont, Italy

The 2003 Barolo Brunate presents the characteristic notes of this site in its dark fruit, spices and mentholated, balsamic notes. It offers excellent length even if it appears to be on a relatively fast aging curve.Although this is a solid effort from Marengo, it isnft as outstanding as it has been in past vintages, when it has often challenged the most famous labels being made from this historic vineyard. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013.
